We left at noon yesterday and drove through some serious storms until just after midnight. Pulled into a Wally World for the night. Fixin to leave and should be at the track at noon or so.
Talked to Doug Duell -- and this is looking to be the biggest NSS race ever.

5 o'clock Thursday and there are already 50+ here for NSS. I've never seen this many on Thursday. I think this is going to be real big. I don't recognize 1/3 of the cars -- and I've been coming here for 7 years.

Save us a parking spot! I'm going to be looking at the weather in a few hours. If it's still storming (like it is now), I won't leave until daylight. I hate to drive in storms and at night!
I'm about 5 hours away. See you guys tomorrow! Dry it all out!

Very cloudy and the radar shows a lot of rain bands -- but since we only get one TT run and then go into Class Eliminations --it is time to get the cars out. We have no idea what our cars will do.
The track was seeping water at the top end yesterday between the seams. I'm hoping that won't cause any problems with the faster cars.
Yesterday there was a had a TT at about 1pm that Dallas, I and about half of the cars missed. At 5PM there was another -- but on the second pair, a wagon oiled down the track and they couldn't get it cleaned up before the drizzle came -- and everyone was sent back to the pits.
There was a nice BBQ benefiting Racers For Christ last night for the NSS drivers -- and our area was pretty crowded until about 11PM.
Tonight is the Driver's Dinner.

There are 84 drivers and cars here so far. I don't know half of them anymore. The previous record had been 77. The only TT I got was this morning in real bad air. Almost half the field have changed their class to one slower. My slip below against DW. Class eliminations were to start at 1 -- but there's been a couple of accidents. They just had the National Anthem play -- and we're second up. Should be any minute. ooops -- just called us

We get a Time Trial in a few minutes and then the big show (82 Racers left) begins at noon.
I ran a 11.005 in the first round 10.998 (the other guy red lit and I ran it out) in the second 11.011 in the third (I had a BYE) 11.035 in the 4th (I hit the brakes at the MPH cone and the other didn't) and a 10.968 in the finals (My guy red lit -.003 and I lifted at the MPH cone -- but I would have hit the brakes had I not known I'd already won the race as he was still about 3 car lengths behind me. I was trying to learn how time I scrubbed off with this car lifting vs braking at the MPH cone)
