I went to the Indy show on Sat. and bought the last missing piece to make the ATOMIC WEDGiE NSS legal. Now I need to figure out the throttle linkage and decide on air cleaners or bells.

Don't flood it and start it without the throttle open a bit!!! It will blow the lid off!!! Better yet..... put a pop off valve on it before you install it.

Where do I get one of those pop off valves?
What is the process of installing it. Do it yourself or machine shop? Is it hard to do if it is do it yourself? This is a pricey piece so I don't want to ruin it

www.summitracing.com/parts/WSN-333221/These reusable pressure relief valves eliminate races lost at the line, since they immediately reset for small backfires. This keeps you on the track after a backfire, rather than having to replace a burst panel. Naturally aspirated engines can benefit as well, particularly when using O2 sensors, which often cause backfire upon engine shutdown. The panel features a 1.25 in. hole that allows for the venting of excessive pressure, whether it is from a nitrous backfire or a naturally aspirated hiccup. They're excellent insurance to protect expensive carbs, throttle bodies, and intake manifolds. These valves are fully CNC-machined, anodized, and O-ringed to seal to the manifold.

Thanks guys. I have been told by some other guys that I wouldn't need them if I knew how to tune my carbs. I told him I will be putting one on just in case. Like you stated "cheap insurance" This intake is a pricey set up(to me) and I would rather be safe than sorry.
Now on to the million dollar questions. How hard are they to install? Do I just mark the bolt holes and drill a 1 1/4 hole for the relief valve and mount it. Do I need one or two? Does it matter where I position the relief value on the manifold? Does it have to be centered or can I put on either side of the INDY logo?

You can mount anywhere on the intake were there won't be interference.
The Indy intake is real bad about having gas puddle in them, and sooner of later you're going to have a backfire that will rip the threads for the intake's top -- no matter the tune of the carbs. It took four years to blow the top off my intake. Dallas was installing a new gas pedal on the red Coronet and got a little too much gas in the intake. Blew the top clean off the car when he tried to start.
A backfire in the black Coronet required welding and re-tapping the bolt holes. When I bought the Vitamin C -- I bought a spare hood and Indy intake that were victims of a backfire. It isn't a matter of if -- but when. You might get by for 10 years -- but sooner or later it will happen.

Thanks guys. I am sold. If it never happens then great but I have a bad habit of flooding the car a couple times a year, especially when it is cold out. Man I am glad I posted this thread. Wonder why Indy doesn't list this part or put one on the intake from the get go? I bought my intake set up from Best Machine and they had an intake with one of these on it. Heck it said nitrous on it so I thought it was for nitrous. I never knew I was looking at my next purchase.

I forgot to get the intake bolts. I e-mailed Indy but haven't heard from them yet. What is the part number for the intake bolts and can I get them from some other place besides Indy? I wonder if Diamondback Engines have them?

I got my manifold pressure relief valve in today. I was looking at it and was wondering if the four mounting screws will hold or do I need to get longer ones and put lock nuts on the other end?
How did you guys mount yours?

I'd be real concerned about little nuts on the inside of the intake -- no matter how much loc-tite or lock washers. Ours are mounted on the lid between the carbs, with holes drilled and tapped.
