www.nssracing.com/nmca-rules/2010 NSS rules. The only real changes for 2011 was to restrict the small tires that didn't appear era correct on the cars.

Not hardly. That rule is set in stone. The 68 is fine for NMC, Nostalgia Muscle Car or Open Comp...but the rules are very different. With an Olds, a 67 is the latest you can use in NSS.

Yup -- I seriously doubt you will see another model ever make its way into NSS. Too many are still angry at the last one to get in -- and that was many years ago. I'd say you chances of a 68 Cutlass, Skylark, Tempest, Fairlaine, Montego, Coronet, Belvedere, .... getting in during my lifetime is about 1 in 10,000. 68 is legal for Nostalgia Muscle Car -- and that's a great class to run in. Very similar to NSS -- with the biggest difference being you can't have a 4-link or ladder bars. A few drivers that have run that ultimately get a NSS legal car and go to it. www.nmcadigital.com/rules/nmc.html

i was in until ,the ladder bar came into play , i placed ladder bars in the car years ago , with thought of going to at least a 10.5 rear tire, any other class , any of you can think of .? rules of stone really is hash , the 60's was and is the error of real racing , stop light , back road black top , and the strips , but i am not here to challenge , but , it was a thought , that as our love and car got older , that the margin would grow wider , but , thank you to the ones , that made it , i still enjoy watching yesterday live , thank you for every ones time ,

I know you hearts in the 68,but if I was wanting to run an Olds,I'd choose the 61 Dynamic 88,a nice clean looking car.Sorta a "bubble top" too

I figured, heck, if we didn't like it, we could go back to Muscle car! NSS has a bunch of great folks. Extremely competitive when the helmets are on, really fun to be around after the round is over.

68?..........not legal for NSS Too bad.... I always thought the "Doctor Oldsmobile"/Hurst/W-30 was some of the coolest stuff to come out in the heyday of the factory car wars.

I like that era Olds. Helped build and race a '69 W-31 back in college: I think you could run top stock class at the BG Hot Rod reunion.
