There are a lot of cool cars built after 1967 but they just aren't legal for NSS.
I love 55's and own three of them, but when it's time to race NSS, you got to have the years and models allowed. I went with a 67 Chevelle so I would be different.

I understand the situation of having a car you've had for years that you are so fond of you can't shove it away for something that fits the rules. I have been on the outside looking in to NSS for over 3 years and I can say I have never found a better group of racers/people in this sport. That alone is a big motivation to be in NSS , & when you figure in the stiff competition, I can't think of a better place for Nostalgia racers to compete. Several years back I poured my soul, & my available funds into my old horse to give it one last power drive while I could still enjoy it. NSS was still evolving in my area & I was'nt up to speed on it. Once my car was done (with lots of helpfrom my brother) we set out to the Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green. My car was'nt able to compete in NSS so I ran the brackets but I was forever hooked on NSS. Rules exist to keep the class as it is. No 68s or later, No Dominators, ect. which exempts a lot of us Nostalgia racers BUT They preserve the class as it is & that to me is Absolutely Perfect!!!!!!!! Nostalgia Gas is coming along & has been alot of fun so far. That gives the rest of us something like NSS. Who knows, maybe there's one more rework in our future. Happy Racing this season guys!

Well put. That's exactly why we sold the '69 Nova and bought a NSS legal car (legal in most venues!). Great to hear from the NSS fans. Chime in more often and.....enjoy!
