No been my month
Today I got word that the 426 Wedge in Vitamin C is too hosed to be a race block. The #2 main is cracked.
It looks like we'll be putting together a 440 as it is doubtful that I'll be able to find a decent 426 block that can clean up to .060 safely -- at a reasonable price.
I've got a 440 that is getting sonic tested to see if I can at lease use my crank, rods, and cam.
Man it has been one thing after another all week long. I need a break.

Anyone have a line on a decent 426 wedge block that can safely go to .060?

I got one, but hard to say how much to ship it. I would bring it to Bowling green if you want. poppaj

That could work -- how much do you want for it, what are the bores right now in size/condition (I need to have it clean up to +.060) and are the lifter bores in good shape?

I think it is standard bore Dave. I hot tanked it and sonic checked it, I was going to build a motor for the SS/EA car. I will check bore size tomorrow and let you know. poppaj

It is standard bore Dave, It is a nice piece. I will bring it to BG if you want that way you and Damon can look it over. I would love to see you keep a true max wedge motor in that car. poppaj
