I got the motor started today with the new intake. It was sounding funny last year and this is the first time I got it running this year. After messing with the timing and adjusting the carbs I couldn't get it to run right. There was a popping noise coming from the passenger side of the motor. I removed the valve cover just to look things over. I noticed that the intake rocker on #6 was really lose. I tried to set the valve lash but it wouldn't tighten down. Upon further inspection I found the problem. The push rod was bent. I inspected the others just in case but that was the only one. It also messed up the rocker arm adjuster ball so I will need one of those also.
This sucks but it could have been worse. I guess I got lucky. Hopefully I can get it fixed and ready to run for May 27 Test and Tune. I need to get some runs in the car so I can run at Cordova's NitroBlast NSS race.

Be sure and delegate someone to take pictures (you won't have time!).
We want to see it in action!

I will get someone to get photos of the event.
I ordered my push rods today. He told me they will ship out Monday. I should get them by Wednesday. I may have a few late nights but it looks like I will make it for the May 27 T&T
June 10-11 NitroBlast Event. My first NSS race. I can't wait.
