Jeff hasn't shown -- as least as of yet. A lot of hurry up and wait going on here. I got my first time trial at 3:12PM. Don't laugh at my reaction time -- I'm really under the weather and not in the game like I should be. Most of the other drivers took a 2nd and 3rd TT -- but I felt like I was close enough with the weight I had in the car to be where I wanted for last night's qualifying, and I feel like shit. E-Coli sux! The above is where I'm at as of now -- with 2 more qualifying rounds today (2PM and 8PM). That puts me #7 of 15 so far. I'll post a photo of qualifying after the next round of it. Everyone is running fast. DW and Doug had a Hell of a 9.50 match race with DW being the #1 at 9.503 and Doug 2nd with 9.507. Dallas is third with 9.775. Also here are Joe Midile, Kurt Neighbor, Skippy Koester, Steve Wilson, Barry Camp, Gerry Bates, Brian Merrick, a Dart GTS from Florida, a AA/FX Thunderbolt, and the guy who use to run NMC in the Lemans that was stolen a couple of years ago -- in a black 63 Plymouth. They let people onto the track at 10AM, racing starts at noon with the LX Hemi guys, and then we continue Qualifying at 2 and 8. Very light turnout! They need to give up on the East Coast stuff (Maple Grove and Zmax never had anyone come either) and have a race in Texas. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Ok we've completed 4 of 5 qualifying -- the below is my best Qualifying slip so far. That will get me a #6 or #7 if I don't improve it. Doug ran a 9.500 DW ran a 9.503 Merrick is 10.504 Poskevitch is a 12.006 Tough crowd when you give them 5 qualifying passes. I think Bates is broke -- he's been fighting it all weekend.

The above was Doug's time slip -- the below is Qualifying 4 of 5 I think Bates is out so the #8 guy will get a broke bye. So Dallas needs a .014 or .015 or I need two below me to better me. Fat chance of that because I'm going for the points.

Last qualifying. The right lane hooks better! As lame as this sounds, I didn't turn on my head lights, and after I left the starting line I could no longer see my tach (I don't use a shift light) and so I shifted where it sounded right -- and I did it I drove under a light and saw that I shifted 500 RPM too early. Below is the ladder for the first round tomorrow. Dallas has DW Hopkins and I have Kurt Neighbors. Then again all 15 NSS racers here are tough and capable of winning. If Dallas and I both were to win the 1st round -- we get to run each other in the second. Appears we do that a lot anymore.

Rained over night at the track and it is wet. Were suppose to start racing in an hour but I don't think they'll have it dry in time. Calling for 50% chance of rain until 1PM, then it drops to 40% until 5PM. It is a two and half day drive to get home and we were hoping to bang out 300 miles tonight as Dallas will have to do all of the driving.

I lost to Kurt in first round. Dallas won against DW. Second round Skippy beat Merrick, Doug beat Camp, Kurt beat Dallas, and Midile beat Wilson. NSS was just called to the lanes. Midile vs. Doug and Kurt vs. Skippy.

Thanks for the updates! Great info for us who don't travel 900 miles! Make tracks tonight!
Let us know if anyone needs anything, if you're passing through Memphis.
Way to go Doug. Likes like a nail-biter after 3 races!
Hope to see a lot of you at Bowling Green!
