I was thinking about swapping my old bushings for solid ones. Would this be a good idea for a leafspring car used for the strip. I figured less deflection better 60fts. I know this will not drop my 60ft times a huge amount but every little bit helps right?
Mancini Racing has a set of Energy Susp. poly bushings are these just as good as solids. They are listed to run on a B body w/SS springs Not concerned with the ride just the launch.

I can't imagine that you're going to see any major improvement in your 60' by just swapping your bushings from rubber to poly unless the the current ones are really hosed -- but you night have less sway at launch and at the top end.
Then again that's only my opinion -- I have no facts to back my theory

I have a local source for some Teflon tubing (and solid sticks) and there is one stick of tubing I get that is perfect for the shackle bushings! I have used them on a couple of cars and seem to keep the shackles from trying to move side to side. Not sure how much this really helps with the 60's but keeping everything where it is supposed to be sure can't hurt!!!

I knew it wasn't going to be hugh but figured while I was doing stuff to suspension I would go ahead and do them also. That is a good way of thinking. I have a little saying kind of like that. It pertains to shaving weight off of the car.
Ounces add up to pounds and pounds add up to tenths.
