I hate to be a kill joy here, but why didn't you just do a true 4 link and be done with it. I did a 68 the way you are doing and it was a lot more work than building the 67. It was also harder to get dialed in but can be done. I did Cindy's 83 Regal the way you are doing, but with a 9" instead of the 12 bolts I usually use. Any way you will have the tires you need and make the car safer I would think. After all I was right behind him on one of his runs at Holly Springs and I'm sure it was a fun drive. Jim N.

Hey Jim, that chit will work, ya just gotta think like those Mustang people.
Lots of data out there to get that setup to hook. No, I would have 4 linked it , etc and thrown away the frame for some other rails....for the time and money expended...but that's what I do for a living. ...and our car still has the semi stock rear frame rails. We just took out the leafs that were moved inboard and put in coil overs..still has the ladder bars... It will post a 1.34/38 anytime on our ole worn out chit.
But....some of those "Chebby" guys and the Fox Fords have been able to run pretty dam fast and quick on true 10.5s and a "stock" style suspension setup....That ole Ragged Assed Chevelle from Tn. will be just fine...............Gonna have a bit of breathing room now...I wonder what is next............one of those million cubic inch motors?...

Would have gone to a "real" 4-link, but wanted to keep the back seat. Will have to settle with a semi/kinda/sorta/wish-it-was-a 4 link. Would have gone to different frame rails, but those darn rules say you have to keep the stock frame in NSS (not FX). Guess I don't have enough frends in the rules commitee! Yes Jim, I'm going to miss the "fun" driving. This is our first coil spring car. Nothing quite like a twisting, A-Body launch! Makes for some good pictures. We won't be going any faster than 10.00........ so the set-up we have, will have to do. The thing's so consistent, right now (at 11.00), I hate to make any changes to the engine. Doubt we will be able to make any test passes this year. Maybe we'll get an early spring!

The rules does NOT say that you HAVE to keep the stock frame rails...at least all of it..so, how far do you notch?.......how far do you add "support"...........grey area...aftermarket rails can be used.
