Went to the Nostalgia PS shootout at Thompson Raceway Park in northern Ohio. They had 10 cars, mostly old school with limited updates. But man they ran good. Most of the cars were Mopars, and they had some vintage SS/A cars to. There was one crash, it happened leaving the box, nobody hurt just the car. That sucked. They also had about 100 or more car stick cars that run with a group called the U.M.T.R. (united manual Transmission racers). They are having 9 races at 8 tracks this year in Ohio. They have two classes and it look a lot less costly than trying to run an NMCA car. Although a few NMCA racers also run UMTR events. I will tell you its was a blast and it has a lot of people talking about racing again. I wish we could attract this type of Racing in NY, but its all power-glides and electronics up here.

I'm just drooling to go to a race and see my favorite old class! I keep looking in Racing Junk at chassis' that might fit the class. The biggest problem is living out West where the tow time pretty well keeps participation from being possible.
