That is a nice car. but it is a bracket car as setup. NONE of the major NSS/FX series (NMCA, Chrysler Classic Events, Midwest Nostilgia Super Stocks Inc, 422 Events) are going to allow: DOMINATORS RACK AND PINION STEERING TRANS BRAKE ELECTRONICS ie, 3steps
There is a Pro Nostilgia class that one of the bigger series runs(maybe ADRL or NSCA) But there is quite a few rules. I know these few,
must run a single dominator must weigh 2900#or more cubic inch limit on motors (I think it is 560cu.in.)
You need to be in the low 8's to have a chance

nothing about that car is legal for NSS there Chris... the heads, the oiling, the steering the carbs and the hood your going to have to put on it... I think there is a club of racers in NJ called NENDRA that you could race in... they allow pretty much anything to run. On another note... I heard that the cuda made some test laps this past friday should be an interesting Houston event! Casey

My car has gone 8.76 with a 1.203 60ft time. Here is the engine that is currently in the car. 498 CID Legal SS 780 vac sec. carbs. Thanks for the 8.50. I am still working on it. Went to BG and changed gearing in the back did not like it. I did not want to fool with it we got down there Sat. If we would have tested on Friday I would have changed gears. By the way this is a std. head motor no raised exh port and 2.25 intake valves. This is not a millenium head engine. Most people do not believe it but. oh well. Attachments:

I also have a pair of valve covers that have that same logo "ARC". They make a cast tunnel ram and I'm sure the top can have two 4150's. Who owns the black car now?

This is the car I heard all the fuss about. 7? ?? You need to get into the 8 second bracket first. It is not easy espically, with a B body car. 8.29 is the record for Super Stock AH. Please do not even try to compare. There engines per Cubic Inch are a lot more than ours. Plus they spin up to 10,000 RPM. Oh I know the Fish Peddler. I have the same carbs as Super Stock racer but have had too many complaints about the NSS look. So far I have run faster with my 780's. Attachments:

biginchmopapars is chris.. (fishpeddler)
not sure who you are hemified.... but judging by the way u talk you are close to him.
8.70's are a ways away from 7's too... if that really is ur combo tho... thats pretty stout even at 2900lbs lol
Next year will be an interesting year... lots of fast NSS LEGAL cars coming out of the woodwork. Should be some good match races lined up. Everyone is stepping it up. Maybe there will be more than 2 8 second cars at the dave duell classic next year!!
im excited. i heard of a cool race coming to Norwalk for these fast NSS cars in July.... bring em out... I hope to be able to compete in more of the 9.50 category lol
oh and the 7 second car isnt chris buam... its a couple of guys from Indiana....

Biginchmopars is Bob not Chris. I don't know about 7's in a 2900lb car but it will go deep in the 8's. Those cylinder heads will really make a 600" motor work well. I know they will make1200hp. Predator heads work better than any other head out there except the Prostock Hemi head. I don't know all the rules you guys have to follow but my Heritage Series car runs B/Gas with a 498 B1-BS motor.

Whoever owns the black car, did you buy those heads "ARC power" from Alan? I have the same exact valve covers.

Guys I am Singleton. My car on the hood scope has HEMIFIED on it. My car weight with me in it is #3271, 8.76, 1.203 60ft. There is still a lot left in that engine combo. I have not had time to do much testing because of personal issues in the last year or so. If everything goes ok I will be out in April of next year with that same motor. Hurbura, Grinwald, and me all ran in the 8.70's on one pass at Union Grove WI. That was the first time that ever happened with three cars. I am the heaviest car in the lot. ;D Attachments:
