Haven't heard much about the Whale in a while. Glad to see it's still in the making. It's H U G E ! ;D Got one technical/safety question about the Whale......Doesn't the fuel cell have to be separated from the driver's compartment by metal?

We have a panel that will cover that area and seal it to the rear window......all is well. Access to the fuel cell, battery and weight box will be thru the rear pin on deck and the window will be semi fixed in place. The panel is removable if necessary.
The floor and "trunk" area will be covered in lightweight carpet material as will the headliner..
It looks big and it is, but when it crosses the scales you may be very surprised.

We won't be able to be there. That's the Sunday we'll be going up to bring the Whale back here to show for the Lonestar. Saturday we are needing to get the Coronet to the track to get it ready for me to drive -- and to show my brother (a road racer) how to run the Vitamin C.

Put a new motor in it and broke a rocker shaft on the first pass. Replaced the jessels with T&D and had crank trigger problems. We think we have it ready -- and will take it out between Memphis and Houston. I plan to drive it at Houston and have my brother drive the VitaminC.
