There is virtually no AT&T service at Milan so I'm typing this with my iPhone after taking the golf cart to the end of the track to walk the dog. Got one bar. Excuse typos as it is hard to type on a phone for me.
After having to fix the generator, car lift and fresh water pump were finally ready to race. The changes a lot here and after going too fast with no weight and 100 pounds I was too slow in the first qualifying. I wanted to be a little slow to get into the game before being agressive but I spun at the line.
Dallas is still too slow. We took out his seat (FX) and tried to fatten it up a little but not quite there. Have a coupl of tricks to try for Q2 and Q3.
I was toll look at buying Cracking Jacks car, truck, trailer , and cart. He ran the best pass of the cars life in the first TT and then wrecked it in the second. I think he didn't put the radiator cap on and the car got into it's own af at about 130. The car hit the wall twice and looks to be totalled. Jack is pretty sore in the shoulders as it bent the seat brackets.
No AT&t service here. Have to take the golf cart about a mile to make calls. I'm doing the on a iPhone so excuse typos. I can't see the damn keyboard well.
The is changing every few minutes. I was two tenths too fast with no weight then a tenth fast with 100 pounds. I was too slow for Q1 with 150. I'll get it sorted out.
Dallas and I are 12 and 13 out of 24. Were still tryng to get Dallas car a little faster.
I was suppose to but Cracklin Jacks car, rig, and golf cart after this race. He brought it here for one last hurah. It made its best pass ever in the first TT. The second TT he wrecked it at about 130. The poor guy is heartboken. He was recently laid off and needed to sell the car after one last hurah in it. I feel real bad for the guy. I have photos when I get back home.
Second round Qualifying in an hour. I have to drive a mile for updates until AT&T ever puts a tower to cover the track. That's it for now.

If the above post looks repeatative it is because I thought I lost text and retyped. This is near impossible to do on a phone. Got to get back to the trailer.

OK -- I just found a wireless network to latch onto until they cut me off Photo of 2nd Qualifying: Jack left the track last night. We talked for a long time -- and the poor guy is heartbroken and at the verge of tears. He was pretty sore -- but looked to be physically OK. While I'm disappointed I couldn't come home with that setup -- I can't get out of mind how this really sucks for Jack. I ran a 10.99 with a 5 on my 11.0 -- so I guess I'm alright. On Dallas' car he did a 9.89 and 9.82 in TT on a 9.75 yesterday. Not good. Took out the seat, jetted the front to 113 from 110 (more than a few cars did better when going rich), and increased the shift points to 7200 from 6600. Motor stumbles at 7000-7100 and so he did a 9.83 in Q1 last night. This morning raised the launch RPM 200RPM and lowered the shift point to 6600 and he did a 9.77. Just have to keep the RPMS from hitting 7000 as it doesn't like it. Got another trick to try for the final qualifying tonight. I hope we can maybe find another 2-4 points for Sunday late rounds. He'll be OK for the first round in the morning if he has a decent light. A couple of more cars came today. I think we're around 25 after losing Jack. Scotty Jiles slammed his car down again and lost a lot of oil pressure. He is pulling the pan right now to see if he can repair the pick up. He bent the car up real bad here last year -- to where he couldn't open one door and couldn't close the other. They'd worked on the car all winter to fix. There are two other races going on at the same time (would be nice if people at those races would have an update thread for the rest of us) and so to get as many NSS cars as we did here is pretty good. The NSS class brings the most cars to NMCA -- yet get the shitty purses that the cars bringing 5 cars get. I've never understood that. Too many NSS drivers follow the purse more than the Championship. There are a couple of cars for this race who haven't been here all year. They say they got pissed over Memphis last year and don't want to run the series.

I don't know Jack (literally also) what kind of car did he have?
Glad to hear he is okay. It sucks being down and out.

Hey Dave, buy it...will repair the car for the truck and trailer if it is the same enclosed unit he had.

I was looking to flip the car. It is pretty bad as it hit the wall twice at 130 mph and will need another car, fiberglass front end and even for the extra $11000 over the car for the rig -- puts me upside down and doesn't make since. Makes no sense in my plans. You can most likely get the wreck, rig, and golf cart for $22,000 - and that would be a good deal for some one - but not me.

after three rounds of qualifying. They never posted the 4th First round of eliminations in 8 hours. I guess I'd better go to bed.

Dallas and I are both out in the first round. I misjudged the weather on my car and har too much weight. Ran a 11.09 to Milwood's 10.03. We had similar reaction times. Dallas couldn't run his number and had a pretty bad RT. A lot of people ran slower than they thought they would. Packing up to head 1300 miles south.

We were impressed with how well the race was run by the NMCA. Wish we would have drove over Friday. Needed the open time trials. Could not find the right combination for 9.75..... We went 9.57, 10.0 lifting and a 9.59 with extra weight. Car would have ran in the high 9.30's. Broke out lifting at 1000' with a 9.66. Still enjoyed the race. Need to plan on racing this circuit a lot more... Attachments:

You need to plan on making the Houston NSS race in November. All of the driver money goes back to the drivers -- and we're looking to get a sponsor to throw another grand bonus.
