Just putting finishing touches on new motor and need to know if it is ok to convert carbs to E-85 and run NSS. It is bought at the pump? Thank you in advance for the answer....John

I've never seen E85 addressed in NSS. You can run ALKY in FX, and GAS in NSS -- but not sure what E85 technically falls under. I would guess if the car runs FX -- it is a moot point. If it runs 10.0 or slower -- it might be an issue.
All of that said -- I've never see gas checked at an event, so you could most likely run it, not say anything, and no one would ever know. However, I'd rather have a ruling and ensure that would never be an issue.
My question is -- Why E85?

The car is also run on the street and will run cooler with E-85 plus it is less expensive than C-12 race gas. Believe me it is not an environmental issue. There is nothing finer than the smell of burning race gas on a cool morning at the strip...j

I'll do my part to counteract his "green" E-85, by belching mass quantities of LEADED RACE GAS out my tail pipes! ;D
