Motor is a 408ci built by Damon Kuhn at Diamondback Engines. The block was a select 360 that was bored .030. THe crank Eagle forged. Pistons are Ross. Rods are Scat. Heads are CNC ported Indy 360s. Rockers are Indy offsets. Intake is a Indy 360. Carb is Diamondback race prepped 850CFM 4150. Roller Cam is a custom grind Bullet. MSD billet Distributor. CSR Billet water pump and water neck. Alternator is an East Coast 1-wire on a low mount for keeping the belt from flying off. Ceramic coated 1 7/8" to 3" headers.
The 727 transmission was also built by Diamondback Engines with all of the good stuff -- Including a Bolt-in sprag, Billet steel drum, lightened sun shell, Griner valve body, HD strut, modified pump, and a lot more. It is surrounded by a CSR Carbon Fiber shield. THe Torque Convertor is a PTC 9 inch with steel stators -- made specifically for this car/motor/racing conditions.
8 3/4" rear with Moser Alloy Axles and Aero-Space rear disc brakes. 741 Chuck has Richmond race gears at 4.34:1.
Caltracks moved inboard with Mopar Performance Sprint relocators. Rancho 9000 13-way shocks. Mono ssprings with 1" rise.
ProStar Wheels, Mickey Thompson 9X29 slicks, and 4X28 Fronts.
Front disc brakes.
K-Frame blasted, painted with POR15 and rebuilt with all new Moog parts.
Underside taken to bare metal and painted with light gray POR15. Car has underside cleaned after every race. Sub frame connectors and aluminum drive shaft.
Aerospace fuel pump uses AN-10 braided lines to take fuel to the front. Properly plumbed for race applications. Trunk was stripped to bare metal and painted with POR15.
Dual 12V batteries using 00 cables.
B&M electric fan trans cooler uses realy.
Cooling fan uses relay
Electric water pump uses relay
Moroso switch box. MSD 6AL2 Ignition box.
Steering knuckle replaced with Lokar.
Interior had floor pans stripped to bare meal, old bolt holes welded up, and was painted in POR15. Interior has carpet, headliner, door panels, and two seats as required by NMC rules. Shifter is PPP with rear exit cable and line lock button. Line lock is Hurst. 2 Full sets of Autometer gauges, and Autometer Monster tach.
Full chrome moly cage is painted with POR15.
Paint is 1970 Plymouth Rallye Red. Fiberglass hood.
This car spent its entire life as a drag car -- and still sports its 1972 Texas Inspection Sticker. It was a 13-second Stock Eliminator car until we bought it in 2003, and took it to the level it is now.
You could not built this car for less than $40,000.
It can easily be converted to a True Street type of race car.
