Ok, I'm getting ready to put the Savoy back together. It's sitting up on jack stands, just a shell, no suspensions installed. Now would be a good time to know if their are any pending rule changes that would allow the use of the coil over K-member instead of the torsion bar suspension. This car is not slated for FX if that means anything.
Definitive yes or no?

Not in NSS and I wouldn't expect that to change

Ok, didn't think so but had to ask before I start.

I don't see that rule changing. The torsion bar vs, coil springs topic has come up before -- and died and immediate death.

Yeah, it will probably never change. I've been thinking and the likelihood of me ever participating in NSS in a meaningful way is nil. That may change if I move north but at this point it's not likely. I added up the costs of replacing a complete front end (there is nothing there, will have to be a complete system, no cores) with all the goodies against a bolt in coil over system and the difference is about +600 for the coil over system with brakes. I will probably go for the coil overs and change out to a stock suspension if my NSS situation changes. Or build another car later and just run the savoy on the street/bracket/nostalgia events all the time.
