I Grew up watching S/S in the 60s. Did a little drag racing in the early 70s while in the Air Force. Did a lot of street racing in the late 70s and early 80s. Was a business executive working 15 hour days in the 80s and 90s -- so I didn't race much. I sold my business for a little home run in 1998, and semi-retired to try to catch up on enjoying life and my family. In 2002, I picked up drag racing again. In 2003 I sent my car to Texas Thunder to get converted into a NSS car as www.BigRedRam.com. In 2008 I got serious about NSS racing. I placed #4 in the NMCA's 2008 points. I did so again in 2009. For 2010, I am running a 11-second 63 Plymouth Post car called Vitamin C for the NMCA events -- until my 60 Plymouth wagon (Texas Whale) has been completed and sorted out. I'll run my 65 4-speed Coronet (Big Red Ram) at other non-NMCA events like the Monster. My son Dallas is my Crew Chief and he runs my old Black 65 Coronet.

Mom and Dad meet in a 67 GTX, conceived in a 69 GTX, came home in a 70 440-6 Cuda. My first car should have been a 70 Challenger. Saw the car went home to get the money, came back and it was gone. Went into the Marines after High School. Got out after four years as a SGT. After that I did a few jobs while going to school but I just hated it so stopped going. Worked at a factory for 7yrs. Factory was sold to a overseas company so out the door I went. Hated that job anyway but it paid the bills. Been with the Dept. of Corrections for 9yrs now and love it. I bought my 65 in 99'. The car was used as a cruise night/car show car for the first few years but didn't get to drive it much for about 5 yrs. Went to a Nostalgia dragrace with my dad and saw the NSS cars run. Went home that night and started the swap to a NSS race car. Not quite there yet but soon. Insert photo of car here: In the beginning: The transformation to a NSS car: Either I will get a crossram or use the in-line one from the other motor.: I did the work myself(All but paint)Motor to Dana, with help from this one and other Mopar forums. I would like to say THANKS to all that helped me with advice and support. I would also like to thank my father, without him this car wouldn't be! I had no idea how to do most of the stuff until I did it. It wasn't easy there was a few times I felt like loading it up and paying someone to finish it. When it goes down the track or others stop to look at it I feel like I accomplished something.
