Congratulations Gabe. Is this Jimmy's son? I met him at St Louis, but don't remember his name.

Yup, that's my boy! It was his 2nd NSS race. He also placed in the money, at his first race in Chandler this year! As Jerry Reed used to sing..."When You're Hot, You're Hot". He's darn lucky too... 5 rounds, 1 red light (final) and 2 byes (1 competition bye, one true ladder bye) . Us old guys better be glad he doesn't care anything about running 1/4 mile!
Can you tell I'm a proud daddy? I got a bad case of swelled head today!
Lots of thanks to go out:
1. Chris, for letting us run. NSSNA rules make for a wider mix of cars (and a bigger car count...fans love it). Who-woulda-thunk-it, a Malibu and an AMX in the final...... Hope to be able to make more races next year....if the A-Bodies, Fairlanes, Rat Motored, and single carb, etc. cars are included.
2. Bob, for letting me run the Old School car. Long time since I raced a Mopar! It was fun. Hope she's all dialed in for Houston (dead on with a .005, last pass).
3. Doug for putting his clout behind the race. When Doug says he's going, well........
See you guys (and gals) in '11. We will have some big tires by then!

Jimmy thanks for all you did for this race. Also thanks for guiding me in. It was an easy drive for us and the track was great. I just wish I had not had to carry so much weight to be on the index. I think I made 3- .01 over passes and a dead on (against your son in the semis), but I knew I would like just a little running A. Great time, hope to do it next year. Jim Netherland
